Candidate for International Trustee
North American Region
Decision time at the Kiwanis International Convention in Chiba, Japan is just a few months away. For whom will you cast one of your three votes for International Trustee? There will be numerous issues on the table during the next three years. But none will be more important than increasing our membership. If you are in one of the few clubs that increased last year, a big congratulations; but if your club falls into the group of decreased membership and membership has been decreasing for several years then you know the problems.
Eliminate, SLP support, and even the fun service projects suffer because of fewer and fewer club members. As the Kiwanis International appointed Growth Chair for the Georgia District, membership growth is my priority. I trust it will be your priority. It is absolutely necessary.
Why me? Why Dewey Smith? Why should you cast one of your three votes for me? All I can tell you is that I have the leadership experience and the record of giving it my best, my all. From Boy Scouts, college, marriage, church, business, and Kiwanis I seek to get it done.
"That which is emphasized, is that which gets done."
